What is Casa MINGL?
Casa MINGL is a modern connection studio where relationships that begin in the MINGL app move into real life.

It’s a warm, intentionally designed space for small, hosted gatherings and Casa-led sessions, guided Circles, and open Casa hours that make meaningful conversation feel natural.
How does Casa MINGL work with the app?
Casa MINGL is the physical extension of the MINGL app.
The app is where connection starts. You use MINGL to discover other members, join small circles, and get familiar before meeting. Casa MINGL is where those connections move into real life.
Think of the app as the place where you pre-connect, and Casa MINGL as the place where you show up already knowing someone.
Not every city has a Casa yet, but the app always comes first. When a Casa exists, it becomes the natural home base for meetups, hosted gatherings, and community moments that began in the app.
MINGL isn’t about scrolling endlessly or attending random events. It’s designed so meeting in real life feels easy, intentional, and human.

Is Casa MINGL a co-working space?
Casa MINGL isn’t designed for productivity or individual work. It’s designed for connection.

While the space may support light, flexible use, Casa MINGL is not a place you rent a desk, work silently all day, or treat like an office. The purpose of the space is to bring people together through small gatherings, guided circles, and informal moments that make conversation feel natural.

Think of Casa MINGL less like a coworking space and more like a shared living room for the community — a place where people show up to connect, not clock in.

Can I use my laptop in the studio?
Light laptop use is welcome in designated areas and during open studio hours.
Casa MINGL isn’t meant to function like a traditional coworking space. The studio is designed primarily for connection, conversation, and shared experiences. Laptops are fine when they support flexibility or ease, but they shouldn’t take over the space or replace its purpose.
Think of it as a place where you can check in, not check out.
This balance helps protect the atmosphere that makes Casa MINGL feel human, present, and different from everywhere else.

Are phone calls allowed?
Quick or quiet calls are fine in designated areas or outside the main gathering spaces.
Casa MINGL is designed to feel calm and socially open, not noisy or transactional. Longer calls or speakerphone conversations should be taken outside the studio so the shared environment stays present and welcoming for everyone.
The goal isn’t strict rules. It’s protecting the kind of space where people feel comfortable being there together.
Can I co-work with a friend or team?
Small, quiet co-working with a friend or teammate is welcome when it’s low-key and respectful of the space.

Casa MINGL isn’t designed for meetings, presentations, or loud collaboration. It’s best suited for casual working side-by-side, brief check-ins, or using the space as a shared landing spot before or after connection-focused gatherings.

If your work starts to look like a meeting, it probably belongs somewhere else.
If it feels like being together while getting a little done, you’re in the right place.

What is a Circle?
A Circle is a small, intentional group designed to make real conversation feel easy.
Circles are formed through the MINGL app around shared context like life stage, interests, or what people are navigating right now. Members get a chance to pre-connect before meeting, so the first in-person gathering already feels familiar.
Circles meet in relaxed, guided settings at Casa MINGL or through hosted meetups. There’s no pressure to perform or network. The structure exists simply to help people connect naturally and see if something meaningful grows from there.
Think of a Circle as the difference between walking into a room of strangers and walking into a room where you already belong.

Some Circles are included as part of membership, while others are led by independent hosts and may have their own pricing.
Do I need to talk during a Circle?
You’re never required to speak.

Circles are designed to make conversation feel safe and natural, but listening is always a valid way to participate. Some people talk more, some talk less, and that balance shifts over time.
There’s no pressure to share anything you’re not ready to share. Being present counts. Showing up counts. Often, simply being in the room is enough.
Circles work because they honor different comfort levels — not because everyone speaks the same amount.
Do I need the MINGL app?
Not always.
The MINGL app is how most connections start. It helps you discover people nearby, get context, and pre-connect so meeting in real life feels natural.
In cities with a Casa MINGL, some gatherings and experiences can be accessed without the app. However, the app unlocks deeper access, ongoing connections, and the ability to stay connected beyond a single meetup.
Think of it this way:
You can walk into the room without the app, but the app is what helps you belong once you’re there.
Do I have to be a member to attend?
Some gatherings at Casa MINGL are open to the public, while others are reserved for members.
Membership gives you consistent access, priority for Circles, and the ability to stay connected beyond a single visit. Public events are designed as an introduction — a way to experience the space and the energy before deciding whether deeper involvement feels right.
You can come once out of curiosity.
Membership is for people who want continuity.
That distinction keeps Casa MINGL welcoming without turning connection into a one-off experience.

Can men join?
Yes. Casa MINGL is open to all genders.

The community is built around shared values like respect, curiosity, and intentional connection, not a specific demographic. Some Circles or gatherings may be designed around certain life stages or experiences, but the space itself is inclusive.
MINGL isn’t about excluding people.
It’s about creating environments where everyone feels safe, grounded, and genuinely welcome.
Is the studio child-friendly?
Casa MINGL is an adult-oriented space designed for quiet conversation and connection. For that reason, the studio is generally child-free.

Occasionally, we may host specific family or parent-focused gatherings, which will always be clearly labeled. Outside of those events, the space is intended for adults.

What is the difference between Access, CASA Plus, and Founders Pass?
Each option reflects how deeply you want to engage with Casa MINGL right now.
Access
This is the entry point. Access lets you experience Casa MINGL through select Casa-hosted gatherings and open Casa hours. It’s for people who want to explore the space, attend occasional community moments, and get a feel for the atmosphere without committing to regular participation.

Casa Plus
Casa Plus is for people who want consistency. It includes ongoing access to the studio, priority placement in select Circles, and invitations to member-only, Casa-hosted gatherings. This tier is about rhythm — having a place you can return to and people you start to recognize.

Founders Pass
The Founders Pass is limited and early by design. It’s for people who want to help shape Casa MINGL as it grows. Founders receive the highest level of access, early invitations to new formats, and a closer connection to the evolution of the space. This pass isn’t just access — it’s stewardship.

Membership gives you access to the Casa and the ability to discover and participate in experiences led by both Casa-hosted facilitators and independent hosts.

Is Casa MINGL only in Sacramento?
Right now, Casa MINGL is centered in Sacramento — the physical studio lives there and that’s where in-person Circles and gatherings take place.
The MINGL app itself is meant to be used wherever you are and can connect people anywhere. But the physical Casa MINGL location is a Sacramento flagship, not a network of studios yet.

Can I visit without a membership?
Yes. Casa MINGL offers select open hours and public gatherings where you can visit without a membership.

These visits are designed as an introduction to the space — a way to experience the environment, the energy, and the community before deciding whether ongoing access makes sense for you.
Membership is for people who want consistency, priority access, and deeper involvement over time.

Is Casa MINGL a dating space?
Casa MINGL is not designed for dating or matchmaking.
The focus is on human connection, community, and meaningful conversation — not romantic outcomes. People come to Casa MINGL to feel grounded, meet others naturally, and build real relationships of all kinds.
That said, when people connect authentically in real life, anything can happen. Casa MINGL just doesn’t engineer or optimize for dating.
The goal isn’t chemistry.
It’s connection.

Can I host a private gathering or rent the space?
Casa MINGL isn’t a traditional event rental venue, but members may host small, intentional gatherings that align with the spirit of the space.
These gatherings are designed to feel personal, not promotional. They’re best suited for things like intimate conversations, Circles, or thoughtfully hosted experiences rather than parties, launches, or large events.
All private use is reviewed in advance to make sure it fits the atmosphere and capacity of the studio.
Casa MINGL protects its energy carefully.
If what you’re imagining centers connection, you’re probably aligned.
What should I bring to my first visit?
Bring yourself, a bit of curiosity, and an open mind.

There’s no dress code, no prep work, and nothing you need to perform or prove. Comfortable clothes are best. A notebook or laptop is fine if you’re visiting during open hours, but it’s not required.
Most people say the same thing after their first visit:
they’re glad they didn’t overthink it.
Casa MINGL works best when you show up as you are.
Is parking available?
There is no dedicated onsite parking at Casa MINGL. However, there are multiple public parking garages, surface lots, and metered street parking within a short walking distance of the studio.
Most visitors use nearby city garages or street parking depending on the time of day and availability.
We recommend allowing a few extra minutes to park, especially during evenings or special events downtown.

How do I cancel my membership?
You can cancel your membership at any time through your account settings or by contacting the MINGL team via email at hello@joinmingl.com.

Your access will continue through the end of your current billing period, and there are no cancellation fees or long-term commitments.

Casa MINGL is built on trust.
If it’s no longer the right fit, stepping away should feel just as easy as joining.
